This talk will focus on galactic stars, those in the Magellanic Clouds and galaxies of the Local group. I will review what are the most pressing questions about the properties and evolution of massives stars that can be best addressed with UV spectroscopy. Other topics that will also be discussed include how massive stars cans be used as astrophysical tools to trace galaxies' structure, trace star formation, and how feedback from massive stars impacts galaxies evolution.
